Brad Dayton

Brad Dayton, as owner of Brad Dayton Drafting & Design, has over 15 years of professional experience as an Architectural Technologist in the commercial building design field. Brad has joined John's team as a contract draftsman/technologist to assist in producing working drawings/documents for larger commercial projects and leading on smaller TI projects.

Some of the more notable projects they have collaborated on include Dutch Growers, Moose Jaw Luxury Apartments, Enterprise TI, Capital Crossing Old Fashioned Foods and Birmingham's Restaurant. Brad enjoys the methodical nature of architecture and process that John works along with. Their attention to detail and responsiveness to the client's needs provides a level of service that is not easily matched by a larger firm.

Brad's professional design and drafting work experience included a position at Van Alstine Project Management (VPM) as pre-construction/design coordinator for commercial/light- industrial projects. For close to ten years, he served as the client's first contact to determine their project scope, budget and construction schedule. Specializing in pre-engineered steel buildings, dozens of shop/offices were constructed throughout Saskatchewan & Alberta based on Brad's working drawings. He enjoyed collaborating with the client, design team and construction staff.

Brad enjoyed expanding his client base while continuing his relationship with VPM by working on such projects as Vale Industries' new facility in Indian Head, SK. Several renovations throughout the Travelodge (now Atlas) Hotel in Regina were completed including the Restaurant, Waterpark, Fitness area, Lobby, Meeting Rooms, Staff Area, Washrooms, etc. Brad has maintained strong partnerships with interior design firms and completed drawings for several cosmetic upgrades to commercial facilities including Queensbury Convention Centre and Retirement Residences throughout Western Canada.

His education includes an Architectural & Building Technologies Diploma from SIAST Palliser Campus (now known as Saskatchewan Polytechnic) in Moose Jaw, SK in 2005. Born and raised south of Regina, SK, he received his high school education at Campbell Collegiate and supplemented his schooling with practical landscaping, excavating and volunteer construction work for non-profit organizations throughout Saskatchewan.
