JMA is currently in design phase for this 5,000 sf main and second level addition to the clinic, to provide a total of 9,000 sf of total usable floor space. The veterinary practice has been a staple of animal care in the Regina area for 40+ years.
Some of the renovations include demolition of the existing main entry, new vaulted entry towers at the main and secondary entries, and doubling the capacity of exam rooms and Feline Boarding areas on the 2nd level. The new addition triples the animal treatment areas, and adds Laboratory and Recovery spaces.
The Owner placed great emphasis on Animal Fear Free Design Guidelines in all aspects of the new plan layouts. Fear Free design aspects ensure a safe and comfortable environment for your pet, creating areas of refuge in waiting areas and attention to privacy for pets in Canine runs and Feline Boarding areas. The site has been thoughtfully designed to also create outdoor features for the pets prior to entering the clinic and relief areas while leaving the facility.
The facility entry towers provide clerestory daylighting to create a bright first point of contact for the client, with a new Reception desk and Waiting area to calm the patient and pet owner. The facility also expands the staff area and offices to enhance the staff work environment. A new parking lot was developed on the east side of the building exceeding parking requirements and adding needed capacity and convenience for the patron and staff.
